1 Original Model 1898 Carbine Complete Rear Sight, Unaltered (Still has squared corners on the head). This is the earliest possible M1898 Carbine Rear Sight. It has all of the rarest parts. An unaltered head with the “C” stamp, the ladder is smooth on both sides which goes along with the slide that is without the plunger used on the later models ( you can see this in the photo as it does not have the hole where the plunger shaft pokes through. The knob for the slide is without the slot added later. Those 4 parts are the hardest parts to find on a 98 sight. This one is in Minty condition, you get the exact sight in the photos. The base is marked with the “C” stamp also. The M1898 Carbine sight bases are getting harder and harder to find. This is the right sight for the right gun.
