This is an original M1898 Rifle Stock that was sporterized and cut down to about 36-3/4” Over All Length. There is a cartouche visible that is dated 1903, has “P” on underside. No Cracks or Missing Chunks. Definitely enough “meat” left to turn this into a nice M1899 Carbine stock. Aside from those things the stock is in Very Good condition overall.
