COLLECTOR’S NOTES: The 51st Infantry Regiment is still active in the U.S. Army, though some companies have been inactivated. For instance, Company F was reactivated in 2014 and is the only remaining active company belonging to the regiment. The 51st Infantry Regiment, established in 1917, is still part of the U.S. Army. Company E of the regiment was inactivated in 2007, but Company F remains active. Company F was reactivated in 2014 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
