.50-70 Trapdoor Stock Project ~ Converted Musket Stock

$350.00

This appears to have been a musket stock conversion for the M1870 Trapdoor. It was cut down to about 44-7/8” Over All Length. There is a spot where one of the musket band springs was filled in. It’s missing a piece upper in front of the lock plate (see photos) The front appears to have been cut down for someones project. There is a 4-3'/4” tip included for your refurbishing should you chose to use it. Or it would make a nice shortened “carbine” project for someone.

There are rack numbers stenciled on the butt, a neat little feature. There does appear to be 3 small letters stamped into the stock on the underside to the rear of the trigger guard cut just before the butt. Aside from that I don’t see any other original markings.

Original wood for these .50-70s is getting hard to find. Someone can have some fun with this one.
